Northwest Chinese School is the largest Chinese school in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. We serve students from preschool through high school and offer classes on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Our curriculum includes Chinese language, math, art, coding, and more.

Position: Chinese Language Teacher (Mandarin Chinese)

Job Responsibilities

  • Teach Chinese according to the school curriculum

  • Prepare lessons, grade assignments, and attend teacher training sessions as required by the school

Position Requirements

  • Must have legal work authorization in the United States

  • Preferred: At least 2 years of experience teaching Chinese or working in other educational institutions

  • Standard Mandarin pronunciation with strong Chinese language skills, and basic English communication ability

  • Caring, responsible, detail-oriented, and patient; enjoys working with children

  • Energetic, cheerful, and passionate about Chinese language education in overseas communities

Working Hours

  • Every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM or 1:00 to 2:00 PM (excluding school holidays)

Position: Math Teacher

Job Responsibilities

  • Teach Math according to the school curriculum

  • Prepare lessons, grade assignments, and attend teacher training sessions as required by the school

Position Requirements

  • Must have legal work authorization in the U.S.;

  • Fluent in English, with a strong interest in teaching math to K–12 students.

  • At least one year of hands-on teaching experience with students in a specific K–12 age group.

  • A teaching credential is not required, but candidates should have innovative ideas and approaches to math instruction.

Working Hours

  • Every Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (excluding school holidays)
