MIC Preparation
This 16-week course is designed for high-performing Grade 7–8 students preparing for the Math Is Cool Masters and Championship events. Students begin working with authentic competition papers from the first class, learning important formulas, shortcuts, and strategies through active problem-solving rather than traditional lectures.
The course covers every major contest component, including Mental Math, Individual, Team Multiple Choice, and College Bowl rounds. Students develop speed, accuracy, teamwork, pattern recognition, and effective buzzer strategies while learning to avoid common competition traps.
Each 50-minute class includes a mental-math warm-up, guided analysis of past contest problems, a timed mini-competition, and targeted homework. By practicing under realistic time limits, students learn to identify efficient solutions and approach competitions with greater skill and confidence.
