About Coding Mind Academy

Coding Mind Academy, founded in 2016 by U.S. college computer science professors, is dedicated to empowering students with programming and artificial intelligence education. Since our inception in Irvine, CA, we have grown into a trusted institution offering advanced, accessible technological education to students across the U.S.

Our mission is to make “Affordable AI Education for Everyone” a reality. Over the years, we have partnered with leading universities and schools to develop cutting-edge curricula that inspire creativity and foster critical problem-solving skills. In Seattle, we proudly collaborate with schools such as Northwest Chinese School, Bellevue Children’s Academy, and Chestnut Hill Academy to bring affordable tailored enrichment programs to local students.

With over 3,000 students served nationwide, 250 experienced educators, and partnerships with institutions like California State Polytechnic University and the University of California, our programs seamlessly blend academic learning with real-world applications. Our goal is not just to teach coding but to cultivate future innovators who are equipped to navigate the challenges of an AI-driven world with confidence and creativity.

NWCS Roblox 1: Intro to 3D Game Development and Lua Programming

Embark on an exciting journey into the world of 3D game development with Roblox 1! Designed for grades 2-5, this beginner-friendly class introduces students to the fundamentals of game creation and programming using Roblox Studio and Lua, Roblox’s powerful scripting language. Students will learn how to build immersive environments, design fun characters, and add basic interactivity to their games. This hands-on course fosters creativity and logical thinking, making it a perfect introduction to coding for young learners. By the end of the class, students will have created their very own playable game!

NWCS Roblox 2: Advanced Game Design and Scripting in Lua

Take your game development skills to the next level with Roblox 2! Building on the foundation of Roblox 1, this class dives deeper into Lua programming and advanced game mechanics. Students will explore more complex topics, such as creating custom animations, adding game rules, and debugging their scripts. They will also learn to design engaging levels and implement physics-based interactivity to enhance gameplay. Ideal for students ready to challenge themselves, this course encourages each participant to complete a fully interactive, polished game that showcases their creativity and technical skills.
