1. Heritage Chinese / Ma Li Ping
Who is it for: This curriculum is tailored for families that primarily speak Chinese at home or have at least one parent who can read and write Chinese. It is ideal for students looking to acquire a rigorous standard of Chinese, enabling them to read and write at a relatively high level.
Curriculum: This series of teaching materials is specifically aimed at students from overseas Chinese-speaking families. Each textbook consists of three modules with corresponding single- and double-week workbooks, flashcards for students, and online assignments. The teaching philosophy includes:
- Direct recognition of words before learning pinyin (introduced in 4th grade).
- Emphasis on recognizing words first and then writing them; recognize more, write less.
- Integration of texts and reading materials, with a focus on literacy and reading teaching in books 1 to 4.
Hallmark of Class: Classes are conducted entirely in Mandarin. The curriculum focuses on high volume word recognition at an early age and uses various mediums to reinforce learning. Beyond traditional textbooks, it incorporates flashcards and computer-based tools to make learning engaging and effective. The curriculum is a full series that culminates in the AP Chinese exam competency.

It has been translated into multiple languages and is used in over 30 countries.
Hallmarks of Class: Teachers use bilingual instruction, reducing English use as students gain Mandarin proficiency. The focus is on expanding vocabulary, listening, and speaking skills, with various methods like text, images, situational dialogues, and game competitions. The curriculum also emphasizes understanding Chinese culture, customs, and history.

AP Preparation Class
This class prepares high school students for the AP Chinese exam, fostering self-learning abilities and evaluating proficiency. It aligns with three-level Chinese courses at American universities. High scores on the AP exam can lead to exemptions from some university foreign language credits. Over one year, the curriculum systematically refines the students' Chinese knowledge.
3. Preschool / Kindergarten
Most of the students at this stage of study are young children aged 4 or 5. The content of the teaching materials is related to the daily life of children, and students learn simple Chinese characters through classroom activities such as reading Chinese children's songs, chanting Chinese songs, reading pictures and literacy, and handcrafting.
