Dear fellow NWCS members,
This is to announce that this year’s NWCS's Annual General Member Meeting (AGMM) will be held on Saturday, June 4th, 2011 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Newport High School. According the school bylaws, the AGMM shall be held "...for the purpose of transacting such business as may properly come before the meeting. These businesses shall include, but are not limited to: reviewing school operations and annual budget, discussing short- and long-term development plans, and electing new Board Directors."
At this meeting, two new Board directors will be elected. Each carries a three-year term. If you have not served on the Board before, please consider it this time. This is a great opportunity to help and oversee one of the biggest Chinese learning community's growth while work with a great team of volunteers.
Committee on Nominations and Elections (CNE) has been formed to organize and oversee this election. Please declare your candidacy immediately by sending an email with a brief bio including a personal statement to CNE at CNE@NWChinese.org. You can also declare your candidacy first then send in your bio and your personal statement later.
