为了 我们的安全和交通的流畅，请大家在校区开车时遵守停车场和马路上的标记，特别是Newport HS从去年开始设置了单行道。For our safety and for smooth traffic flow, please observe and follow the traffic signs while on campus. Please pay special attention to the one-way signs that Newport HS had posted since last year.

2019春节联欢演出接受节目报名 Invitation for proposals for the 2019 Chinese New Year Gala
西北中文学校2018春节演出将于2月24日在Bellevue市中心的Meydenbauer Center举行（彩排将在二月23日进行）。这是我们学校首次在这样高水准的剧场举行活动，这对我们的演员和所有参与者都是一个崭新的体验，也能把我们学校的教职员和学生家长的文化风貌表达到一个新的高度。欢迎各位老师、家长、同学参加演出或做演出的义工。请大家在11月3日前报上准备的节目，12月8日前把节目的初始录像发来以备评选。我们将在12月31日前把节目的选取结果通知大家. 这次我们有更多的时间为演出做准备，我们同样的也能把演出提高到一个新的水平。
Our 2019 Chinese New Year Gala will be held on Feb. 24 (with the rehearsal on Feb. 23) at the Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue. This is the first time we hold any event in such high quality venue, and it will be a grand new experience for all participants. We invite our teachers, parents, and students to showcase in the performances, or work as volunteers. Please send in your proposed performance by Nov. 3, and send in a recording of the preliminary performance by Dec. 8. Selections will be made and announced by Dec. 31.

在春节彩排和演出期间，美术组的老师将组织学生的绘画和新开的摄影班的作品在剧场前的大厅展览。我们欢迎同学、老师、家长们踊跃提供作品参展。展览征稿信息如下：Concurrent to the rehearsal and performances on Feb. 23-24, 2019, the Arts Department will organize a student arts exhibit, along with photographs by participants of the new photograph class, to be displayed at Meydenbauer Center. We welcome contributions from students, teachers, and parents. Details about the art exhibits are below.

每班请安排4位安全巡逻家长。各位安全值勤家长请到校长办公处领取巡逻标识衣，所负责任包括在大楼外疏导交通(请参看此图了解值勤位置)、根据法规监督停车泊车、在大楼内（包括课间休息时间）监督学生的往来安全。请早上班的家长在8:40前到达，至少值勤到10:10；下午班家长在11:45前到达，至少值勤到1:10。Please arrange for 4 parents to serve. Duties include directing traffic outside of the school building (please see this map for the locations that need traffic management), and ensure the safety of students inside the building, especially during class breaks. Safety patrol parents must arrive before 8:40, stay at least until 10:10 for morning classes, and arrive before 11:45 and stay at least until 1:10pm for afternoon classes.
除了交通安全，请家长们特别注意同学们在课间的行为和安全，特别不能在课室区间的空道和楼梯之间乱跑、大喊大叫、触摸Newport高中的展品和设备，等等。It is imperative that safety patrol parents monitor the behavior (no shouting, running around, or touching Newport High School displays and equipment, etc.) of students during class breaks in the hallways.
请参阅本学年值班时间表，了解自己班的值班安排，最少两星期前做好准备。Please take a look at the overall duty schedule to know your class' scheduled date, and prepare to organize the parent duties about 2 weeks ahead of time.
