一、本周六（三月三十一日）是我校本学年春季学期开学的第八周，学校大部分中文班级将会安排期中考试，请大家准时到校，以免影响考试。 下周六（四月七日）学校春假停课休息，祝大家春假愉快！
This Saturday, March 31th, 2018, will be our 8th week of the spring semester. Mid-term exams for most Chinese classes are taking place on this Saturday. Please make sure to arrive at school on time. There will be no school next Saturday (April 7th, 2018) and we wish you a very happy Spring Break!

四、西北中文学校夏令营可以为高中生（大学生）提供暑期实习机会，希望有兴趣的高中生（大学生）应聘我校夏令营英文、科学和武术老师以锻炼自己的领导和组织能力。
应聘要求如下：1、现任高中生（大学生），成绩优良，动手能力强；2、热爱孩子，之前有和孩子相处经验者优先考虑；3、实习时间可以保证（每周一，二，三下午2：00-6：00）。有兴趣者请于05/16日前将简历寄到admin@nwchinese.org
Our Summer Day Camp is now searching for some high school student （college Students）to teach English, Science and Martial Arts classes. 五、今年暑假期间我校将继续在Bellevue分校推出一系列数学和计算机精品课程，包括：计算机初级编程班，SAT数学班，初中几何辅导班，初中代数辅导班，奥数辅导班等。上课时间：06/23/2018 – 09/12/2018。课程介绍以及学费详情等请参见链接http://www.nwchinese.org/newsite/summer-academic-courses。小班教学，名额有限，请大家尽早报名。
本周我们将重点介绍其中的暑期初中代数辅导班：本辅导班重点辅导初中代数知识，非常适合已经完成Enrichment 4-Algebra 课程的学生。老师以帮助学生复习所学重要数学概念，提高解题能力，在初中阶段打下坚实的数学基础为主要目的。课程时间：八次课(06/23– 07/18)，每周三晚上（7:00pm-9:00pm) & 每周六上午（10:00am-12:00pm）。
This summer our school will continue to offer a series of great summer programs at Downtown Bellevue branch, which include programs such as Basic Programming Summer Course, SAT math summer course, Math Olympic (AMC 8) Training Class and (AMC 10/12) Training Class etc. Date: 06/23/2018-09/12/2018. This week we will introduce to you our Advanced Algebra for Middle School summer courses. Advanced Algebra for Middle School is designed to help students to review and deepen the understanding of middle school Algebra. It targets the students who finished the Enrichment 4- Algebra class and/or who have the basic knowledge of Algebra. The class size will be limited to 12 students with the intention of creating more opportunity for class room discussion and teacher-student interaction.
The purpose of the class is three folded:
1) provide a thorough review of the most important Algebra concepts learned in the past one year;
2) challenge the student with more advanced algebraic problem;
3) enhance the problem-solving skill by intensive in-class exercise and group discussion.
Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm Every Wednesday & 10:00am-12:00pm Every Saturday.
Number of Session: 8 (June 23rd – July 18th)
六、社区新闻：本周六Newport高中的“美女与野兽”剧组将在学校南边大厅义卖甜点与茶，并表演剧中部分演唱与音乐片段，欢迎大家前去欣赏并踊跃购买甜点！义卖收入将用于支持剧组参加今年的全国性比赛。
On the south end of the commons this Saturday March 31st, 2018 there will be Waffles and Tea served by the Beauty and the Beast production crew from Newport. There also will be singing or playing some of the music from the play. It will be $10/plate. All proceeds go toward sending their national qualifiers to compete at the “2018 International Thespian Festival”. You are welcome to come on down to buy and enjoy some of the waffles!
